The International
Architectural Ceramics Symposium October 2 - 7 , 2006 and During week 1 of this hands-on workshop, participants will be involved in the creation of a piece of architectural ceramics as led by Peter King, internationally known architectural ceramicist. During week 2, participants will be involved in all phases of a major architectural installation at The Historic Seaboard Train Station. Tile Making Workshop at Watkins College of Art and Design June 20, 27 & July 11; 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Tuition: $75. Materials Fee: $30 Teacher: Ben Gilliam Using a four-square-foot slab of clay, students will learn how to create a tile design and learn various application techniques, as well as cutting and sculpting relief tiles and glazing. There will also be a demonstration of installation techniques.

Tile Making Workshop at University School Nashville January 27, Feb 3 & Feb 17, 2005 6:30-9:30 p.m In three sessions, Ben will share his considerable knowledge and talent to help class participants create their own work of ceramic art using a four-square-food slab of clay.
